Founder & Executive Director
Live Abundantly!® is a registered pro-active organisation (CAC/IT/No. 95723) committed to investing in our communities and promoting positive social change™ through the creation of social cognisance by enhancing the lives of women, children and the vulnerable by way of encouraging social education, awareness and advocacy.
We are committed to creating a respectful and secure society for all regardless of gender, age, socio-economic, religious or physiological limitation through educational advancement. National development and pride begins when citizens believe their presence is valued and they have a respected role in the safety and development of their society.
Live Abundantly!®, launched in 2017, has three key objectives. Firstly, to create an avenue for social consciousness and discourse as we strive to uphold the civil liberties of women and children regardless of their socio-economic standing. Secondly, to make education accessible for children who are marginalised by poverty and physiological differences. Thirdly, to provide Andragogic education for women seeking economic and social representation in the society.
THE LIVE ABUNDANTLY!® MISSION
Live Abundantly!® addresses the high prevalence of violence against vulnerable groups – women, children and the physiological challenged. In the African society, there remains a strong theory that women are inferior thus men (brothers, partners, husbands, religious leaders and even law enforcement) presume they have the right to subject women and children to abuse ranging from physical and sexual violence to acid attacks as well as trafficking and forced migration. We endorse a change in ethos through dialogue, education, legislation and elevation of victims’ voices without fear of repercussion or social stigmatisation.
We are also committed to increasing social cognisance of those who have been marginalised by society due to poverty and birth defects. We endeavour to make education accessible to children plagued by physiological challenges and destitution because it is the key to economic and social development for individuals and society. The abandonment and massacre of children with birth defects in many developing countries are astounding and disturbing. Furthermore, the neglect of children due to poverty is heart-wrenching because it breeds psychological and emotional discord which can lead to violence and disruption in society.
Empowering women to know their rights and to prepare to participate in the economic sphere through education and job preparedness programmes changes the societal landscape. Women are better contributors to the social and economic development of their children, families and communities. By educating women, we open the door to participation in the Twenty-First-century advancement and create a greater sense of worthiness. The empowerment of women is critical to the advancement of society. When a woman can access her earning capacity, she can single-handedly change the educational trajectory of her children by believing in their possibilities and potential for better living. Women want a better life for themselves, their children, their families and their community. This can only be achieved through education and access to the economic field.
THE LIVE ABUNDANTLY!® ETHOS
We strive to create a society where the rights of all citizens are respected and upheld, and all children, regardless of social standing or physiology, can access education thereby improving their ability to contribute to the progress and welfare of their community and society. Moreover, we support the education of women because it expands their awareness of their role in the future of their children and the development of the nation.
We must do more to protect our children from the violence and neglect they suffer due to economic and social hardships. We must address these issues head-on if our children are to have a positive future which includes a role in nation-building and the continuity of society and its values. Progress involves every citizen from children to adults. If our children are psychologically, physically and emotionally damaged in childhood then what can they do as adults? If their own relatives are causing denigration and harm, then where are they safe? It is our duty to ensure the safety and respect of our children. They deserve a proper education, they deserve to learn, they deserve a future, they deserve happiness and personal fulfilment. It is their right as citizens of Nigeria – and as global citizens and ambassadors.
All citizens of the world deserve a chance to live happily and prosperously. Ensuring the respect and safety of women and children is essential to the equitability and viability of a society. Furthermore, accepting the differences and diversity of peoples is fundamental to global citizenship. It is our collective Human Right to thrive to our fullest potential with dignity by ensuring access to education and/or employment. Denying an individual the right to live with dignity and/or subjecting them to brutality is fundamentally unjust and inhumane. We believe each human life is invaluable and the right to live to the fullest potential should not be breached by an individual or group based on their bias and/or resentment. All citizens have a right to be treated with dignity and respect and to feel secure in society as prescribed by the law.
